MIP5000 + Quantar
I've done some searching and can't seem to find the answer. Most everyone seems to be using Consolettes, CDMs, or APX mobiles. With a MIP5000, DIU3000, and Quantar what is needed/required to display the P25 PTT ID and emergency alarm on the console? Currently the system is using a tone gateway conne...

Re: m1225 off hook
For years I just put a mic clip on it and set it in my cup holder... there is no need to ground the mic clip like some other models.

ASTRO Spectra Plus - Homemade Cable
I have searched and can't seem to find the answer to my questions... Does anyone have the schematic for the ASTRO Spectra Plus programming cable... HKN6155A ? Since it's ribless, is it possible to make a cable using an old mic cord and a DB9 connector? I really don't want to spend over $100 on the c...

Re: ECEC000E : Read from device failed
What's the OS on the problem computer? Is it Windows 7 64-bit by chance? The OS is Win XP Pro. I have also discovered that I'm having a problem with this same cable and a M1225. But this cable works fine with other computers. I know my COM port is good because I use it with other cables for other r...

ECEC000E : Read from device failed
I will start by saying I have a genuine copy of the software. I am trying to program a couple of CDM radios... 1250's and 1550's. I am only having trouble with one computer. My backup computer works fine. When I try to read the radio I get an error window that says, "ECEC000E : Read from device...

ASTRO Spectra 25 pin
I have a high power ASTRO Spectra. It is a single head setup. I want to pull audio from the 2nd 25 pin connector and run it to the radio rebroadcast feature of my siren. I want to pull the audio from that location because the level should be constant. If I pull it from the speaker leads the audio le...

Re: Zetron Model 25 Programming
Just curious ......... when you say the new console, how long have you had them? We've had the new consoles for a little while now... a year or so. I actually finally figured things out with the Zetron. I found it was quicker for me to program it through the front panel instead of using the M25CONF...

Zetron Model 25 Programming
The dispatch center I work for recently changed the tone plan for nearly all of the 36 departments that we dispatch for. The new dispatch console is Orbacom/IPC and is computer based. We have two old Zetron Model 25's that we keep in our communications trailer as back ups. They need to be reprogramm...

Re: DLL Error when starting CPS
When you removed the installation and then re-installed it how did you do this? Removing the program from just the add/remove programs field will not remove all the files. You have to do a search after that process from anything related to that program and remove those items as well then do a re-in...

DLL Error when starting CPS
Hello all... I have installed both ASTRO and ASTRO25 CPS on a two new laptops. The ASTRO CPS is v5 and the ASTRO25 CPS is v12. Both laptops are running Windows XP Pro. Both machines are able to run the tuner but not the CPS. Both are getting the same error message. I have attached a screen shot of t...

Re: Motorola Spectra PL tone Problem
I had a similar issue. I bought a radio from a friend and reprogrammed it to my needs but the PL didn't seem to be working. I cloned it from a radio that I knew worked properly and it fixed the problem. I'm guessing it was something that was done in the programming by the previous owner... although ...
