Mike and Bruce- thanks for the VERY good replies. I attempted to forward him to some of the sites listed. I am sure of the freq, as I got it off a portable that talked to the vrs. I believe he has already sold the unit to someone else although not delivered. (i am watching his posts, and they are ge...

Sys9000 VRS
OK, I sold a VRS to a guy here on Batlabs, and he's all mad at me because I was wrong about the freq it was on. I told him to just meter it with a freq. counter, but he replied he does not know what a frequency counter is... So i'm trying hard to satisfy this customer. Anyone have an idea how to det...

so a question regarding ENCODE of 2-tone... I had an Icom a while back, was the 1st radio I ever saw that did ENcode. But... you could only program ONE tone (set of tones) for it to transmit. Anyone know how many the 420 will do? I am ITM for a new radio as we speak and this would fit my bill nicely...

I am currently converting our EMS system here to alpha ability, in conjunction with the hospital's change-over. additionally, make sure they all have the correct radio's serial number appear in the CPS/RSS, and save the codeplugs. I haven't seen the RSS/CPS for the new CP series, it may even have a memo field. On top of that, once the inventory is created, print a copy of model/serial for all the local shops,...

TVSJR- the question begs... 15 NMOs??? OK, thanks to you and Alex. Where/how this install would work, the coax for the VHF would run across the back of the box (this is going in the back of a f/s GMC p/u ) and down one side, and the XM cabling is going down the other side. The cables won't run on to...

XM / VHF antennas
Sorry if this has been addressed, I searched but couldn't locate a thread...
