Nice V8000. I love that little radio! Use trunk-lid mounts by antenex mounted to the corners of the hood. bend the antenna slightly at the base to give it that straight look. Ive done this on my pickup and they look and work great, especially if you use the black ones with black antennas.

The only reason i programmed P1 and P2 as Ch up/down is because the arrow keys were not working. That still didnt fix it though. As far as resetting the radio multiple times, do u mean after dumping the codeplug you cycled the power multiple times? or you programmed it several times?

Gently pry at the plastic trim with a flathead, be carefull though. Under the trim will be 2 bolts that remove the brackets and the radio. Its very simple now, they realized that nobody really cares about stealing stock radios anymore.

yeah uh.. no offense, but that was the longest post I've ever seen to ask one question! But these lights are good for 3rd brake light replacement and they are thin and surface mountable. I replaced mine with one and it packs a punch.
