Re: Alpha paging and the Volunteer Fire/EMS service

We use the alpha page as a back up to the voice and so you don't have to ask for a repeat of the address or cross street, however you are a the mercy of the commercial carrier (verizon, nextel, sprint etc.) and many times the text message is delayed any you may not receive the message until after th...

GR300 Duplexer Question

Looking for the expert on this one. Normal Tx and Rx frequency separation would either be 3 or 5 Mhz. The question is: Can the normal 3 cavity duplexer for a GR300 be tuned for about a 2 1/2 Mhz separation in frequencys?? Ex: Rx - 460.5125 Tx - 462.9375 Obvoiusly my other option if this doesn't work...

I have a mobile radio that looks like a maxtrac (square buttons) but the sticker on the front says Motorola Radius.
This radio won't interact with the Maxtrac or GM300 software.
Anyone know why?? Is this another model radio?

It sounds like you may be screwed. I had the same problem with a HT1250 (Same software). There must have been a power spike or drop during the codeplug transfer. I had to send mine back to Moto, and they turned it into a door stop. It's an expensive mistake.

It's not too hard. Each scan list gets assigned it's own name (ie Scan 1, Scan 2, Scan 3, etc.) As you said, each list will hold up to 16 personalities. If you had a channel called "Main" that you wanted in each scan list, just add it in as you create each scan list.
