350w VHF MSF questions...

Post by batdude »

since the manual is not worth a crap ('cause i have the crappy one)

can someone explain to me how the two sense lines that come out of both the 25w DRIVER and the 350w FINAL PA's are connected to the RF tray?

both these PA's have 6 pin molex plugs on them... obviously for connection to the SCCB for monitoring fwd/rev power levels, heat sink temp, etc...

but i can't figure out how to connect BOTH of them at the same time.

also - on the DRIVER PA - what's the easy way to tell which lead is the "input" and which is the "output" .. ? (without cracking it open and looking)

From the Orange banded manual partnumber 68P81092E05 sheet XXX in the front, I find that the PA uses a 5 wire cable that mates with the interconnect board connector J502A behind the RF tray casting.
The 25 watt driver amp uses a 3 wire cable that also mates with the interconnect board at connector J596A.
