I have a Sprectra A5 and I want to connect it to a Flightcom intercom so I can wear headphones (+85 decibel vehicle). Is this possible? Will the radio output short to ground in the intercomm? Can I splice into the mic cord for the mic and a remote PTT button? Do I need to put in signal isolators?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Sprectra A5 connection to intercom
If you have not purchased the intercom & headset, take a look at http://www.davidclark.com/IntercomSys/s3800.shtml . Pretty common setup on Fire & EMS rigsspeeder wrote:I have a Spectra A5 and I want to connect it to a Flightcom intercom so I can wear headphones (+85 decibel vehicle). Is this possible?
I have used the marine version in a crew boat application with good results.
