MCS2000 Programming

Post by Kearns374 »

Hi all,
I have an MCS2000 that was programmed with RSS. If the radio was read but not written to with CPS, can the RSS still be used?

Cheers.

Roger dodger, as long as you don't write, nothing at all changes on the radios end.

While we are on the subject - are there any hardware/software prerequisits for MTS2000 CPS Version R01.10.00 that anyone knows of? I have several different laptops I can install it on and was just wondering. Didnt want to hose up anything on any of my laptops or any of my MCS's. Thanks....dan n2aym

From what I understand, its pretty similiar for all CPS programs (an example from Astro Mobile):

System Requirements:
--------------------
Operating Systems:
Windows 98, Window 98-SE,
Window NT 4.0 (SP 6 or higher),
Windows ME, Windows 2000 Professional
Windows XP Home Edition (See Note)
Windows XP Professional (See Note)
Note: XP upgrade from other operating systems
is not supported if the CPS was previously installed
on the old operating system.

Hardware Requirements:
Processor 400 MHz or higher Pentium grade Processor
Memory 128 MB RAM minimum
Hard Disk Space 1 Gigabyte Drive with 425 MB minimum free space (for a
Typical Installation, including Help Audio-Visual
Tutorials) or 25 MB minimum free space (for a Compact
Installation)
