I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
Those were my least favorite of the Pro/Waris line. the ones I had to deal with were absolute JUNK.

It's only a matter of time before the XTS series follows suit I'd imagine.

The cancelation notice for the XTS & XTL5000 was issued months ago........MT2000 man wrote:It's only a matter of time before the XTS series follows suit I'd imagine.

No cancellation has been announced for the XTS2500/XTS1500 radios at this time.

I still see 1500 & 2500's everywhere... the XTS5000... not so much.RFguy wrote:No cancellation has been announced for the XTS2500/XTS1500 radios at this time.
If folks are getting their mileage out of the XTS3000's is any indication, I have a feeling ASTRO25 isn't fading out just yet... unless Motorola wants to start some "trade-in" program to get people up to the APX4000's.
In my area there are counties that are still just bringing Phase 1 systems online, so if there's a big price difference between a XTS2500 and APX4000 then the Moto plants will probably be churning more ASTRO25 gear for the foreseeable future (I'm ASSuming the APX 4k is the targeted replacement for the XTS 1500/2500 since the APX 6000 seems to be replacement target for the 5k users based on the size...)
Any dealer insight from a pricing standpoint ?

Don't worry, the 2500s will be going as soon as the APX has support for 900MHz. Astro25 is out the door. It's about 10 years old. I'm sure LAPD is thrilled to know their new radios will be obsolete in 5 years. lmao
