XTS2500 Service Mode

Post by central150 »

Jupt updated the firmware in my XTS2500 800. Now when I try and put it in service mode, I push the lower button 5 times, the radio beeps as if it will go into service mode, the screen goes blank as if the radio was turning off, then back on again. I've never seen this before. Anyone have anything like this happen before?

I used the 19.60.5, it's a 4 meg so it would have went up to R16.00.01. When I read the radio with CPS, it shows the tuner version as 'unknown'. I've never seen that before.

When did 4 meg radios start taking firmware past R09? Did you use a flashkey and legitimately upgrade the radio or did you blow the CVN in with Flashzap??

The DSP can go up to R16, but the firmware can't go past R09 on the AN series. Radio still powers up and works though? You may have dodged a big bullet if so...

The R19.60.05 CVN for XTS2500 will take 4MB radios to R09.00.41 host and 16.00.01 DSP. There is not a separate file for the 4MB version vs. the 8MB.
