Description of UCM install in Astro Spectra? Pics are great
I've got to install UCM in an Astro Spectra. I read online and discovered how to install UCM's in my XTS300's. I can't find much help anywhere on Spectras though. Anybody able to help me out? Pictures with detailed description would be awesome.

Remove the top cover of the radio (2 screws).
Remote the VOCON shield (4 screws).
Carefully remove the VOCON board. Plug UCM into the VOCON board, it only goes in 1 connector, 1 way.
Reinstall VOCON board.
Reinstall VOCON shield.
Reinstall top cover.
Program as required.

Do not forget your wrist strap static precautions.....
The four screws in the VOCON housing are easy to strip out, so remove them, not remote them, very carefully....
The VOCON shield is sheet metal and should gently lift off the diecast VOCON housing. I hold down the casting while lifting the cover.

Yep, it was really simple. Lots easier than the XTS radios were. Thanks for the guidance. I also found an online manual. When this is new, it's kind of nerve racking.
