Hi there.
I have a gm 1200 that is in conventional mode. thats fine thats what i want.
someone has programed it to this when i bought it.
Now i want to change frequency ant squelch settings. etc...
I can´t get in contact with the radio.
I have the rss r0303, it can only start when i am using the mpt.bat file. if i use the mptr0303.exe file it sayes
can´t open file: runtime.odb...
the program starts an runs fine using the.bat.... but stil no contact to the radio on any of the 4 com ports
I am running dos on at 486 20/40 mhz 4 mb ram
I have a flash rib from servicetools.org
I have tryied both the mic input and the 25 pin connector in the radio.
Any idea to what i am doing wrong here?
Kind regards Jens

Ok i Got it to work!
The dos rss r0303 does not support The codeplug for this radio.
The dps 00.01.10 runs great in win 3.11
My Main problem was port problems. The computer has locked port 1 to the mouse, so i only could use port 2.
Port 2 on this old Machine is 25 pin... So i did som soldering and nok i works!
I have some questions thoug.
Am i limited in channels or otter things in the conventional mode? I only watt to do 70cm ham band.
I want the radio to run full power hos do i control this?
In the radio Info it sayes "radio power 1-10 watts is that all it can then?
When i look under options - transmit allignement - transmit highpower. It seems tha i Can control some values from 0-127
But the frequencys is some That i have not programed into the conventional mode. Mayebe it is in the personale modes??
Three is 3 personale modes in the radio. I dont know why.
Regards Jens

The RSS should run in DOS, boot your 486 into DOS. RSS will also run in Win 95 and 98 booted into DOS. They do NOT work in Windows.jens ledet wrote:Does it run in win 3.11? Or is it only win 95?
