Before I venture to the product planners, just want to get some real world comments on a system design.
I will be venturing to design a 3 site UHF trbo system for about 300 voice/gps users. I anticipate the system to have about 5 voice talk groups with 3 of the tg's being heavy voice usage, the remaining 2 tg's low usage. The customer is not offended by a range of 5 to 10 min updates depending on the vehicle's importance. Looking at safemobile and neoterra on the GPS suite. Haven't got that far yet.
As far as the GPS, if we go with the enhanced GPS and I dedicate a repeater (2 slots) at each site, is it doable? Can I use both slots of a repeater to do GPS? How does this work wide area?
As far as voice, I may look to do 2 repeaters at each site in LCP. Can or should I run the GPS thru the LCP, is that possible?
Thanks, Rob

Re: New Trbo System with GPS
Look to Data revert Channels for GPS.
Are looking to pass the data to your CAD for closest unit dispatch, or some other existing Situational Awareness product ? Or will this be all new for you.

GPS on the data side. Looking at the neoterra or safemobile solution. The customer wants standard flavor gps vehicle tracking, i.e. big screen at dispatch with units on it. Breadcrumb, route trace, etc.

Might want to look at doing a feed to Depiction or Esri or Virtual USA (Google Business Maps) ..
