Astro Spectra PTT problem
I have a Astro Spectra D04KKH9PW7AN with no PTT from front panel mic jack. Is there a known cause? Can radio be keyed from rear accessory connector for a test?

Re: Astro Spectra PTT problem
It has been reported many times that there are some people / radios shops that go in and cut the PTT land on the circuit board that is the PTT line. This generally is used with some sort of data connection using the rear accessory connector. Prevents accidental use of the mic jack screwing up the data function being used.arlojanis wrote:I have a Astro Spectra D04KKH9PW7AN with no PTT from front panel mic jack. Is there a known cause? So the bottom line is to check the PTT circuit board traces and or mic connection wire if it has them and follow it back.

Radio was transmitting normal and just quit keying.

You neglected to provide that important fact.
I would try a different mic.
Another question, is the red TX light coming on? Just not being heard.
