Just picked up a MTR2k 900, which was originally part of a smartnet trunk system. I programmed it into the ham band, as a stand along repeater.
It receives fine, however it does not have very much TX audio. only about .800Khz deviation.
I also tried to use the rear accessory connector with my allstar node, which has been working on my UHF mtr, same results. very low audio.
I did go into the service menu, and brought up the rear input level, but didn't have any effect.
Any thoughts on getting it to work?
I did try to program it into the native commercial band, still low audio.

Re: MTR2000 900 Low Audio
Well that maybe the fact that the repeater is most likely narrowband only.
If you are listening to in with a receiver that is set wide, it's not gonna be real loud

Re: MTR2000 900 Low Audio
Well, 0.8k deviation is not very much, even if narrow band. I just looked at a uhf mtr with low and distorted audio for a local club. The issue was found to be in the control board. replaced it, full audio.
