I have come across an XTS3000 that will read through Astro ver. 8.5 just fine. However, the RSS will not allow an archive to be saved to disk or the radio written to. I am getting kicked out of the RSS, and a "Fatal error 286.3330: General protection fault detected" error message is displayed.

I haven't had much experience with this line of radios. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I had to guess, it seems like the codeplug is "protected" although I have never heard of this before.

Thanks,
Yosh

Try to reinstall the software. Sounds like there is a fault in the RSS.

I came to the same conclusion... The RSS did indead have a problem. I reinstalled it and everything works as it should.

Thanks,
