Hello, I have just got a new MCS 2000. I would like to program it in the ham band
I have MCS Ver 5.05 RSS that I have used to read/write with so I can not use an older version. I tried to hex edit the MCS.ODB file to cover the ham band. I only was able to find the rx low limit (935.0125) a few times in the file. I did edit the freq to 925.0125, and saved the file. I still can not get down to 927.000. I had no problem with the MTSX rss when I went to edit it.

Not on my radio. I was able to use an older ver (4.0) of the MCS RSS to open a MTS 2000 CP. The MTS is programmed on the ham band. I would assume that you can clone the MTS to the MCS. My problem is that my radio was porgrammed with ver 5.05 RSS and any older ver will not work. The ver 5.05 RSS will not let me open up the MTS codeplugs. If you can still use the ver 4.00 RSS try to use a MTS codeplug to clone with (if you need a MTS CP let me know).

I have mine working fine as far as bansplits. Just having VCO problem on RX going down to the Nat'l Simplex freq. Tx is good thru out the band.
First find 901.9875 in the file, and change it to 931.9875 (27,807 118,961 1D085 or so)
Hex 30 to hex 33
Next change 935.0125 twice.(27,807 119,996 1D4BD and 1D4BF) making it 900.0125.
Hex 33 to 30 and 35 to 30 respectively.
Second 935.0125 is at 1D89D and 1D89E changes again to 900.0125
Same hex as above.
Now, has anyone had experience changeing the VCO settings on a MCS2000?

What ver of RSS? I have changed everything that you have listed, but with no luck. If you don't mind shoot me your phone number and a good time to call you. n7maq@oregonsbest.com
