New Quantar Exciter Firmware Must Do Backflips, or More?!!

Post by ASTROMODAT »

So does anyone know what the heck the new Quantar Exciter firmware does? The Exciter firmware (DLN-1289A) is a N/C item, but it requires a station refresh (pricey at $1,350). This smells like Phase II of P25---TDMA @ 2.5 kHz (goodbye FDMA). I haven't seen any 2.5 kHz option on the Quantar receiver, though.

I'd be surprised if the Quantar ever supports TDMA... it's pretty old hardware at this point.
