Recovered a MC 2100

Post by markus_b »

I recently recovered a MR304A body with a MC 2100 front panel. I don't have any accessory (micro, etc).
The radio turns on with the message 'MOEBIUS DEFAULT' and then displays 'C:1 A:' on the display.

But all other aspects of the user interface remain a mistery to me.

From some googling I learned the MR304A is a VHF radio. The front panel apparently programmable using the 'wookie' software.

What is the result I can expect ?

A working VHF Radio for general purpose HAM work ?
Could I program it with the marine channels and use it on my boat (disregarding licensing questions) ?

Thanks Markus

You can use the 2100 series DOS RSS on this radio.Wookie Mobius is not a good choice on the mobile radios. You can get some errors with this beta stuff and the frontend tuning is blanked out.
Yes,it´s a good radio for ham use.
