Bricked mts2000

Post by RADIOGUY3131 »

Good evening everyone.

I was programing my mts2000 800 mhz with conventional channels no trunking and now it will not go past the self check screen, then goes blank. From what I have read the radio is now bricked? Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

Thanks

You can get your radio "revived" but it takes flashing it. I send my 'bricks' to a fellow in Canada and they work just like new.
I have to do a full alignment and calibration on them, because the tuning values are at default just like the factory radio before they do the alignment and calibration.

If you still have the radio, you can try forcing an old codeplug back into it. That unbricked one of mine. Sometimes if you have one function assigned to multiple buttons or switches, it confuses the radio and it won't pass the self test.

try writing a factory plug from the cps sample files you may be able to format it back to factory (I have done this with HT1250's and EX600's and CDM1250's)
