I saw the new SLR 1000 repeater at IWCE this week. It's basically a 10-watt SLR 5700 on a access point type outdoor enclosure. It does everything that the SLR5700 does. It can do conventional analog, digital, Cap +. Linked Cap+, Cap Max. It has an option for a built in duplexer. 12-volt powered. Can be installed outdoors.
Sounds handy for on-site and portable repeater applications.
Not sure on the actual release date.

Re: SLR1000 announced
I hear there will be some new MOTOTRBO hardware announced on August 15th. I wonder if the SLR1000 will be part of that announcement.

Seems like Moto's answer to that Hytera wall-mount DMR repeater.

Re: SLR1000 announced
The SLR1K is not quite the smoke detector sized POE repeater I envisioned, but it's a step closer. It's the puddle radio needed to fill in those spaces with no coverage like the depths of underground parking, or a maintenance tunnel. If they make one that is intrinsically safe, there are a number of applications for it.
Re: SLR1000 announced
Heard it starts at around $2300 without the optional internal duplexer.
Re: SLR1000 announced
Pricing both the base version and the entitlement options are pretty much identical to the SLR5700. I think it'll be a great seller!
