XPR8300 TX Module replacement

I have 2 XPR8300 hwere teh tx module curcuit baord was damaged. I found a TX module, but it won't play with the controller and RX.
I can read teh Serial number of it with CPS software, build 828, bt it won't accept the codeplug. What else do I need to load to get this to work.
