More questions....
We are upgrading our CEB to CCGE and IMBE standards. We currently have tone remotes to the CEB that just work for the police channel. They range from the nicer telephone style remotes to the ugley bricks that have the Centracom I style buttons.
Now, it was brought up....will these still work when the police go to IMBE with the DIU3000?
Will we have to buy new ones?
We should have some answers tomorrow when sales come back with some new prices, but I want to be prepared.
If not, any recomendations for new remotes? They will only need to support one channel, and maybe clear/coded.

Your tone remotes should be able to function with the new system. You really need to look at the DIU manuals, particularly the DIU RSS manual [68-02924C15] and the DIU product planner [R4-13-13] to fully appreciate the flexibility of the DIU. Your sales rep may be able to get you the product planner.

Ok, thanks. I figured they will most likely work, but our M rep thought we may run into a problem. We also will have to support some other remotes, but I don't think it will be a big deal with the other analog channels.

The Zetron Model 280 Digital Tone Remote is what we use with our DIU3000's to control our Quantars. Our configurations include ASTRO modems and 4-wire 3002 Telco Private Line circuits.
The Zetron Model 280s are extremely nice units, and they are fully software programmable. All functions are software programmable/setable, including such things as tone freqs, durations, timings, AGC behavior, you name it. The defaults are great, and they are extremely Motorola oriented, so the M280 default settings will work rigjht out of the box with your DIU3000. Pretty pricey, but I believe they are the very best Tone Remotes on the market.
We have our buttons programmed for: Set Up/Knock Down, FM, IMBE Clear, IMBE DES, Patch Inhibit, Mute, and Intercom.
We have several units configured in the parallel status mode, which is extremely convenient. This allows all M280s to be able to show the correct LED status functions on ALL of our M280s, as any given operator changes one or more functions.
