Spectra display

Post by 1motoman »

I have a D44KXA7JA5BK Spectra.
When I go to change the name of a mode I have a problem.
Using Ver R06.00.05 RSS,
when I change the name from " mode 1" to something like "449.000"
the "." is displayed as" \ " in the display. like 449\000

What am I doing wrong ?

You aren't doing anything wrong. That's just the way it is with the Spectra.

Each character on the display is made from 14 segments: the normal figure 8 made from 4 vertical segments and two each for the top, middle, and bottom segment,, plus an X made from 4 segments, and a vertical bar in the middle made of 2 segments. There's nothing to make a decimal point.

The display can do all 26 upper-case letters plus 10 digits plus a few other characters.

Many people use a hyphen or an underscore in place of the decimal point.

There's more detailed info on the Spectra page in the Motorola section on http://www.repeater-builder.com.
