Fun with eBay RIb Modding...

Post by Matt »

I have an old rIB I bought on eBay a few years ago, the one with the phone cord thing hooked up to two adapters to plug into the DB9 on my PC. Well, I loaned out my DB25-DB9 adapter, and didn't want to have to look around to see if I had another one to use it, so it was time to break out the soldering iron.

I had a DB9-DB9 cable here, chopped the male end off, figured out what wires went to what pins, and put it all back together. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but within the next few days when things queit down here...
