IMPRES: Undefined LED status (blinking orange/green)
Hi all, I just took delivery of 20 XPR3500e. While charging all the batteries for initial deployment, three of the units are coming up with an LED status of blinking orange/green. I can't find what that means anywhere. Charger is a PMPN4174 if that makes a difference. All went to reconditioning upon...

Re: APX6500/O5 heads: Where is the audio amp(s)?
Thanks much Jack!!
In both the transceiver and the head? Interesting. But given they're specc'd down to 10V, I wouldn't think low battery voltage could be causing this issue then. If the battery was down to 10V, I don't think the vehicle would start!!
Back to the drawing board....

APX6500/O5 heads: Where is the audio amp(s)?
Hi all, where is the audio amp for an APX6500 with remote heads? Is it within the base unit or in the head itself? I have (had?) a weird problem. In a two-head config, the front head's volume was turned up too high, the audio would would cut out shortly after audio was heard (either the voice notifi...

o5 Control Head- Bracket for inside corner mount?
Hi all, we have a need to mount an o5 control head at an angle on an inside corner. My first thought is to cut the install bracket in the center, and then bend each 90° bend another 45° and using that to mount the head, but wondering if anyone is aware of anyone who makes a bracket specifically in t...

Advisor II PPS- "Firmware Versions Mismatch"
Hi all, picked up a couple Advisor II's on the big Bay. Trying to program with PF169 (Codeplug R061511) as I have done all along. Read one of the pagers fine- then tried to write it and it says "Firmware versions mismatch. Please check up the versions and try again". Not sure if I can upgr...

Re: Replacing XTL5000 with APX6500- plug-n-play???
Thanks! Great news. Hopefully the screws/bolts that secure the mounting brackets line up between the two different brackets- that would make things even simpler! RF Guy, the mics/speakers are only 10 years old. I guess since the mic attaches to the head we'll do those. If swapping the speaker requir...

Replacing XTL5000 with APX6500- plug-n-play???
Hi all, we're replacing all the XTL5000's in our fire fleet with APX6500. I see that the remote mount cables for the remote heads are the same part # between the two models. - which is nice, since we can just leave the existing cables in place and not worry about tearing our trucks apart too much. I...
