Re: SCOTT Air Pack TalkAround 900mhz
Your best solution is to make an interoperability unit made of one 915 mhz radio and one HT750 , that way all the traffic on 915 will be transmitted to HT750s ,and vice versa .

Re: Trbo voting?
The SNV12 votes the Audio based on the signal to noise ratio of the detected audio which will work fine with FM mode , In Mototrbo digital mode the recovered audio doesn't have the noise component that the voter is making selection based on , therefore SNV12 can not function properly .

Dynamic mixed mode is not an standard feature it can be purchase as an option for Mototrbo Repeater, it works for a single repeater only but not for two repeaters linked via Ethernet in IP site connect mode .

Re: mototrbo digital
In general more complex modulation would requires higher SNR at the input to the decoder section of the receiver to produce the same BER, which in turn reduces the range if all other factors remains the same. In most situations the Mototrbo signal within the operating area is higher than the require...

Re: mototrbo digital
Mototrbo brochures has a comparison graph that shows the analog radio continues to provide coverage on the fringe area , Mototrbo would provide uniform audio quality to a point where SNR is of a sufficient magnitude for error free decoding of the digital signal , beyond that point audio quality sudd...

Re: mototrbo digital
Coverage of a TDMA digital radio system will always be smaller as compare to analog FM system assuming everything else are the same, it is the higher SNR required for TDMA demodulator that causes the coverage to shrink, FM narrow band signal that is 5 dB above the noise can be demodulated and produc...

if the distance between the two sites is large enough not to produce any overlap , you will be fine ,if you have overlap area ,then you have to use different freq.

Rssi level setting keeps the SU on the site till the control channel level drops bellow the Rssi set level ,then it starts the handoff process , if it can detect a different control channel at a level set higher than the set Rssi , then the handsoff take place , SU adjusts its TX power depending on ...

Re: DC power on Quantar. Fails clearing??
You need to select the proper power supply type in the service section of the RSS , this selection is about the type of the power supply that is installed on the station, the power supply's input could be AC or DC , High or Low , AC power supply could be with or w/o Battery charger, you need to make...

Re: Duplexer
If your DPXR has a tuning range of 6 Mhz , then your max separation is 6 Mhz, but the min. separation is an important factor , find the tuning rang of the DPXR ,if it covers your RX and TX freq. both with couple of 100 Khz margin ,then you will be fine , when it is tuned properly. you would need mor...

It will be far more reliable if you regenerate the PL at your link repeater , The SQ. crashing , if it means that SQ, gates opens while there is no carrier ,it needs to be tightened , the key here is to have high S/N at the RX input to produce full quieting , under this condition PL will be detected...
