Thanks everybody for their input/suggestions. To me it still seems like a battery or charger issue, but I have eliminated both possibilities. Thanks for the link Al. I will let Motorola deal with it.

Of the 7 options for the alert tone. 2.7KHZ is the loudest. When programming multiple pagers you could have changed the setting to 3.84, 3.2, 3.0, or even 2.5, 1.37, or 1.24, all of which would cause a lower sounding alert/audio. Yes, you just need to scroll through the pages, if you page down after the page that has F4 to program, the next page you use F4 to save the file.

I have plenty of VHF crystals....they are common carrier freqs...$5 each....if you need odd ball freqs then 15 to 20 is about right as they usually have to be special order

Hello, I'm also looking for the Motorola Code Synthesizer ll manual....or some info on how to program it to test page on 1600 baud 3200 baud and 6400 baud...for flex I thought it was 7 store 0 0 store 4....1 store 4 and 2 store 4....also....is it 8 store 0 for alpha any help would be great....Thanks
