Re: Ford F250 INSTALL
Diesel or Gas. How is the RF interference? I had a 6.0 diesel and the injector noise with standard ham radio's ICOM Yeasu were increasingly loud I have a 2005 6.0 and I do not have any injector or alternator noise with any of my radios either grounded to the frame or the battery. (They are grounded...

Re: MTS2000 UHF "R" squelch too sensitive
the squelch fine tune setting has seemed to help out a lot. I monkeyed around with it, and have set it at 5. It's no where near as sensitive as it was, but it will still open up just like you said, which is fine for short periods of time. I will still have to take it all over again to see if it will...

MTS2000 UHF "R" squelch too sensitive
Hey everyone, I've been a long time lurker, but I haven't been able to find the right answer to this question. I'm assuming it has to do with the alignment and tuning. I have two MTS2000's one VHF and one UHF. My VHF radio works perfectly fine, and does not do what my UHF does: My MTS2000 is an R sp...

Re: Mts 2000 flashport
scan lists only fit 15 conventional channels... PLUS the current channel your sitting on. so you can have personallity 1 not in the scan list, and 2-16 in the scan list. but the radio will then scan all 16

Re: double beep radio signalling?
are you talking about the data operated squelch? when enabled on the radio it will mute the MDC1200, and play two beeps to be "easier on the ears"?

I am able to log in just fine. Probably just a system error.

MTS2000 2.5khz channels
Alright, I have a list of about 112 channels I would like to put into my VHF MTS2000, firmware of 05.53, flashcode is H35. I go to load my codeplug, however it says that the radio will not take any 2.5khz channels and that the radios firmware needs to be upgraded. Could someone please look over the ...

MTS2000 AN vs BN
Hello, Forgive me if this is the wrong area, but this is what my question basically pertains too. I have an MTS2000 UHF (403-470) Firmware of 06.53 and is BN model. I know this radio will work with CPS 2.03 (latest.) I just bought an MTS2000 VHF Firmware of 6.40 and is a AN model. Is it true that th...

Re: XTS3000 DTMF Phone list help
I have an MTS2000 that does this. I did not set up the DTMF on it though, its under the CALL tab in the radio menu. However, mine will only lock up on a certain number, but all i have to do is turn the radio off via the volume knob, then back on again.

Re: Who's a Good MTS2000/Encryption Tech?
The option to enable the secure mode is in the CPS.
You have to go to Secure Configuration, and enable it.
After you do that, the options for enabling and disabling Secure Tx are under the 2 position concentric switch, in the configuration/controls/switches menu.

Re: new ham, xts2500 first radio?
Quick question, do you have any VHF APCO25 capable ham repeaters in your area? At the moment, I am not sure. Although, it would not surprise me if there was a strong push by a club to put one up here in Sacramento. I beg to differ. At work, I've sent the depot many untagged radios (as a result of f...

Re: new ham, xts2500 first radio?
Thanks for your replies. I have searched on here prior to my post about the abilities of the FPP. I will not need the radio for Trunking. I figured that the radio would probably not come the way I would want set up, so I would look around for a programmer to set up the radio features the way I would...

new ham, xts2500 first radio?
Hello, Forgive me please. I am a long time lurker, and first time poster. I am going to be taking my ham test in 2 weeks, I believe that I am more than ready for the tech's test. However.. I am looking for an XTS2500 VHF for my first radio. I've been looking for awhile to find one with legit tags, b...
