APX as a vehicular repeater?
Does anyone know if a APX 800 radio can be interfaced with a VHF APX on a conventional channel as a cross band repeater (think Maxtrac/GM300). Thanks

Re: Motorola Jedi (HT1000) Audio Adapter ?
Are you sure the button is for PTT? I have one on an XTS3000 and the button toggles the internal speaker on and off when the earphone/headset is plugged in. Just a thought.

VRS750 Pinout Needed
If anyone on the board has a VRS750 service manual, I would really appreciate the pinout for the control cable. Thank you very much.

VRS750 Help
Just configured a UHF VRS750 with an APCO-25 800 MHz Astro Spectra with W5 remote head. The repeater is working, including PL-controlled mode steering on the mobile, but I can't locate a means of turning the VRS750 on and off. None of the control head buttons seem to have VRS as a programmable optio...

Re: APX7000 Availability
Am at a statewide interoperable communications conference and the Motorola rep just briefed the group on the APEX today. He said they are expected out mid-2009. Confirmed the details mentioned in the RR post in that XTS accessories will not work, but also mentioned that the size and weight are less ...

Re: Power Question on Multiple Radio Install
Wheeled Coach has a particularly good electrical wiring system. In the patient compatment behind the captains chair you should find a main electrical cabinet. The main buss bar is fed with battery cable direct to the vehicles batteries/alternator. All three Spectras should get their power from the m...

Spectra vs Astro Control Accys
Please pardon the dumb question, but I need to know whether an analog Spectra control head (i.e., A4, A5, A9) would work on an Astro Spectra W4-W5 radio. I know the cables are compatible but not sure about the control accessories. I don't want to let the magic smoke out

Re: 08' chevy Frailblazer install.. easier than previous years
Just finished an install in my work 06 Trailblazer using the Havis console. Excellent instructions and uneventful install. I now have 13" of space to accomodate a Spectra Astro W5 head, 295 siren, PCDS9 control head and two M1225s. The only drawback is the need to wreck the factory console (by ...

Astro vs Spectra cable question
I have a remote mount Astro Spectra W5 with no control cable. Will a cable from a non-Astro Spectra A9 work? I believe that it will physically fit but I'm not sure electrically. Any help appreciated.

Havis now has a console for Trailblazer. I've been running a 'blazer since '06 with no problems.
