Re: M1225 Discriminator Audio
I'm not using speaking audio (and didn't say anything about using it). I am using pin 11. Sorry, that was never a part of my question.

Re: M1225 Discriminator Audio
Well, I know the GM300 has a jumper for digital. Since I don't have mine up and running yet, just going by what others have said about using this model of radio. I haven't hear it so I don't know. Just trying to have an idea of what to do for it if I need to. Also wonder if I set the radio for narro...

Re: M1225 Discriminator Audio
Pin 11 is can be programmed as "unmuted/flat audio". Not sure if that is really discriminator. They say the M1225 has bad audio so I am wondering if I can do something to improve it so I can still use the M1225s for this project.

M1225 Discriminator Audio
Hello Group, looking for where I can tap the discriminator audio directly in a M1225. I am trying to use a pair of these radios for D-STAR and from what I have been told the audio isn't very good. Not sure if this is a receive or transmit issue. I have heard the audio on the 1 pin connector isn't re...

Astro Head
I know this is off topic. A friend bought an Astro Spectra. It is set up
for a hand-held control head. Can it be changed for an A7 control head
without major modification?

Re: MSF5000 Receiver Help
Thank you for the reply Bob, I hadn't even seen there was one. I know about the jam nut and have it loose (really loose). I am thinking about pulling the preselector off and bringing it back down where I can work on it and see what is going on. Work to get the slug loose enough to be able to get it ...

Re: MSF5000 Receiver Help
I went up and worked on the repeater for short time yesterday. The M3 reading was 36, which I think should be plenty good enough. Per Bob M's advice, he suggested backing the tuning lugs all the way out and starting over. I did that, almost. L5 is very hard to turn and it may be what is keeping me f...

MSF5000 Receiver Help
I have a VHF MSF5000 73CXB7106B . I have no idea why, but the receiver has lost sensitivity. My receive frequency is 146.13 MHz. I used to get around .125 microvolt to open the squelch. Now it is much worse. I went up on the mountain this morning and checked it again. It is taking .446 microvolt to ...

Astro "TRL Hardware" error & other error codes.
Hello, I don't know a lot about Astros yet but trying. Anyone have any idea of of what a "TRL Hardware" error is for an
Astro mobile? I am also interested in a list of error codes for the Astros, both mobiles and portables. Many thanks in advance!

M1225 Amp Schematic
Okay, I posted a while back for help with a VHF M1225 I want to use the radio in the two meter amateur radio band but power output is lacking. I don’t have a service manual and looks like I can't get one from Motorola. So if someone has an extra manual to sell or at least a copy of the amplifier sch...

Re: VHF M1225 in Ham Band
Just for reference, I am using a HP service monitor to look at everything. I feel like I am okay for test equioment to work on it with. I just got a UHF M1225 and don't seem to find any trouble done at 445. It still has about the same power and sensitvity. As a side note, I am using the VHF and UHF ...

VHF M1225 in Ham Band
Hello group, I have a VHF M1225 . I want to use the radio in the two meter amateur radio band, down to 146 MHz. I am able to program the radio down there. The receiver has good sensitivity but power output is lacking. I am getting about three and a half watts out in the 146 range. Without changing a...

Re: GM300 Repeater IRLP Interface
But how are you legally IDing your up link to the repeater? Doesn't sound you have met that requirement. ALL transmission are required to ID.
