Re: CP1250 Resets Itself When Changing The Battery

Got mine on a certain auction website of choice and it is supposed to be rechargeable. Get the one without probes/prongs on it. They get in the way when you try to slide it into the CP1250. Mine came with them and I had to slowly break 'em off which was a minor inconvenience.

Re: CP1250 Resets Itself When Changing The Battery

Broke out the golden torx screwdriver and opened 'er up (why does Motorola always seem to use torx screws??). Couldn't see any battery at first, but after some careful tinkering managed to find it. There's a little board and green gasket that you have to remove to get to the battery. The board plugs...

CP1250 Resets Itself When Changing The Battery

If I can switch out the AAA battery in less than 3 seconds then it's fine. Anything longer than that and it loses all it's pages and time settings. Is there a watch battery or something that needs replacing?

Re: Motorola Advisor Programming

Your Advisor pager is probably for GOLAY paging (which uses 6-digit capcodes) but your 7-digit capcode is probably on a POCSAG or FLEX paging system (a different format), which means the pager won't work for you.

What's "a firmware refresh to Host >= R07.70.xx"? Is that a piece of hardware that physically gets installed into the radio? How do you do this firmware refresh? What do you have to hook up to the radio ?

Re: XTS3000 And ReBanding

Actually, what I'm wondering is how do you reband it. In other words, the radio is old and I want to make it so that it will work on rebanded systems. Do I need a microchip or something installed in the radio? Will it require a flash upgrade from /\/\ OTOROLA ? Or can it simply be re-programmed with...

XTS3000 And ReBanding

From start to finish, exactly what do you have to do to an 800MHz XTS3000 to make it work after rebanding? Do you simply need a newer version of the programming software, or is there something else?

Thanks.

I've read other threads on here that it's really hard to get Motorola to sell you the CPS. Is that still true with these new radios?

Does CPS use the same old RIB box as RSS, or is there some other way you're supposed to hook it up to the computer?
