The VRS750 is analog, but if your XTL5000 mobile is on a P25 mode it will pass audio back and forth...and actually sounds pretty good.

+1 on the VRS750 recommendation. I run one on an XTL5000 with very good results in both analog and P25 modes from the XTL.... VRS750 is always analog. Good audio and remote channel steering via PL.

I work with a fleet of MCS2000's and have NEVER seen it work on conventional or SmartNET/ SmartZONE.
/\/\ uses this model LCD display for a multitude of other radios for other systems like Tetra, IDEN and even the MICOM-2 HF rig. Must be used in some other system.
