External Radio? if its dual head capable then just add the second head and there should be a "remote" button on the main head, oh and you have to enable the second head in RSS also.. the Speaker A/B button will switch the front speaker to a rear speaker if you have the proper relay install...

anyone know what kind of rss/cps and cable it takes to program this radio?

looks like a maxtrac style cable will work, but does it have cm300 specific software or does it use professional series cps?

I love the console. It was easy to install and easy to put my equipment into, I just need some spacers and an armrest (and i dont want to pay that high dollar Galls price for one).

I have a few dashmasters i picked up cheap and am going to install them in my patrol car..

there are 2 plugs on the back, one has 3 holes for the power and then there is a 4 hole plug.. what in the world does that one do? does it sync them together if you have two or what?

Some of the other guys at work have their whelen bars setup so they can change the flash patern.. i want to be able to do this but they work on a diff shift..

Now for another question. For some reason, my radio isn't decoding PL to unmute the audio on those channels that i have programmed with RX PL. I like to keep the Monitor Off so that i dont hear other counties coming in. I know that the repeater is encoding PL because i use this feature on my XTS3000...

And just becuase they stop supporting depot repair for the civilian market doesnt mean the federal side has closed. I still reqularly send sabers back to the depots federal side for repairs. It takes a little longer, but they still support our radio's.

They are probably using a repeater with a DES board in it to pass the encrypted signal or a transparent repeater. In either case, the repeater would be set up to unmute if it hears DES or PL.

If PL is passed while using DES, then why cant i bring up a local police repeater that requires PL while i am encrypted?

I am having a hard time believing that PL is passed while operating in encrypted mode.

I think its impossible, but i am no RF engineer either.

The answer to why would be ADP is useful for agencies that need only occasional encryption for passing less than top secret information. Its not secure enough for federal usage. I had a caprice when i turned 16 too.. I had an mt1000 convertacom at first and then upgraded to a maxtrac. I put the maxtrac under the dash with no problems. A stacker style mount would probably work well.

Just dont get to hamsexy with it. Girls dont like riding around in a whacker mobile.
