The latest MTSX software I ever saw was R06.07.00.

You might be able to use a previous version, but if the radio's been programmed with a recent version, you may get the "Codeplug too new" error with an older version.

Hope this helps.

Spectra 800 off frequency?

Disclaimer: I'm still new to this, so please bear with me. I have a Spectra 800 that appears to be slightly off frequency. A friend of mine who looked at it said it appears to be about 12.5khz off, and it is his opinion that the RF board is to blame. Thoughts on what kind of condition could cause th...

Forgot to add a couple things: First off, since it's a QX model it's secure capable. Also, according to the literature at hand, it could possibly be a 68-84mhz radio, but from what I've heard, those were pretty rare, so I presume it's a low split UHF. As always, to be certian, you should read the ra...

Vertical off axis dims noticably after about 10 degrees.

Horizontal off axis is much better. I estimate that it started to dim after about 35-40 degrees off axis.

Keep in mind these are just quick eyeball measurements. I will know better when I actually get them mounted in the truck and tested.

I actually found a dealer in my area who had them for a reasonable price. The guy even demo'd them for me.

In which I ponder lighting for my truck...

After having about a billion and a half thoughts on what I could do about lighting on my truck, I figured I'd bounce it off y'all here and see what you'd recommend. First off, the requirements are simple. All I need is some rear facing amber lighting. I've considered and dismissed corner strobes and...

I'm a little confused. Did you try and install your Whelen flasher in your Tacoma and it didn't work with the headlights? Was it wiring issues?

I've got a Toyota Tacoma with a 2 headlight system. So, based on your recommendation, it would seem any flasher slower than 2 fps would do.

AFAIK my truck's got a negative ground system, so I should be good to go there.

Anything else I need to take into consideration??

Wig Wag suggestions?

Looking to install a simple alternating wig-wag flasher in my truck. Doesn't need to be fancy. I'm looking at the Code 3 Model 700.
