Sorry for the late reply.
Was the 800 Meg file ever located? I may be able to help out, if not.
I am actually looking for VHF XTS3000 Model 3 S-Rec or DOS Codeplug myself. i found a model 2, just not model 3 - which is what I need.

Really, come on guys, the area around Edwin C. Moses and 75 isn't THAT bad; I mean, people don't get killed there EVERY day.

Several guys have suggested cloning in an identical codeplug to this model. M11WGD4CB1AN Does anyone have a codeplug they'd be willing to help me out wit...

NMN6225 telco plug pinout
I am working on a little project here, and I am wondering if anyone knows what the pinout looks like on the RJ-45 end of the NMN6225. I have a couple NMN6217s, and lucked into a few brand new Saber replacement speaker mic cables. I want to put the two together. Just for giggles, I did swap the mic. ...

Don't know if Host 10 is in circulation yet, but it IS ready to be. And from what we've tried, it does not have any effect on the FPP issues noted.

Re: Astro 25 CPS 10 Possible Problem
This was done on a Firmware Rev. 9.xx radio. And even getting it setup "correctly" was a REAL pain in the hind quarters. Even after proper assignments have been made, FPP isn't even an option in the conventional menu configuration, least of all on the radio. And it WAS there when it was re...

Re: Strange Problem with Astro Saber III:Need Advice
Sounds to me like she needs aligned. I was given a radio that was "upgraded" from an ASTRO Saber I to a III. It was acting in a VERY similar fashion. A trip to the shop and a full alignment and the radio was as good as new.
Good luck,
Alex

Re: Astro 25 CPS 10 Possible Problem
Something else worth checking after you've written a Q52 flashed radio with CPS 10 is if you still have access to FPP. I've heard from a few guys with pretty well loaded XTS5Ks, who wrote them with CPS 10. The FPP option still shows valid under the radio information tab, but no longer exists in the ...

Re: ASTRO Saber reassembly woes
That was indeed the problem. I still have to get it replaced, a little more than I am going to chance with what little I have at my disposal. Good news is, it's exactly what you said. Don't know why it went K-F-B, but better that than something else. Thanks again for your help.

ASTRO Saber reassembly woes
Here I thought it would be a simple enough task to swap around a few crypto modules. I was wrong. I took two of my ASTRO Sabers a I and a II. The AS I had an XL/OFB module in it, and I just received, from an unnamed online auction site, a DES-XL module. I wanted the II to have the XL/OFB and the I t...

Re: XTS3000 and encryption problem
It would seem to me that your receive type is not set correctly to use DES-XL standalone. Remember, you CAN encrypt ASTRO traffic with DES-XL. Now, if you want to use DES-XL alone (i.e. NON-ASTRO) set the receive type to Analog only. Mixed mode or digital (regardless of how transmit is set) will use...

Along a similar topic, and directed towards SpectraGod as it seems he has experience with this; ASTRO Spectra range 3 into the 440-450 ham band for IMBE. We have a few of these radios amongst our group and would like to make them happy on 440 for ASTRO use. What is the procedure involved?? The searc...

902 Repeaters at Hamvention
Gentlemen, When I attended Hamvention last (2003) I remember bumping in to several of you. And was told that there was at least one 902 repeater on the air then. Is anyone planning on bringing one again this year?? If not, will there be any special simplex channels in use?? I am just getting back in...
