Fed Signal 650 Series Caution
Not knocking the Fed Signal 650 Series Siren/Light Bar Controller products but if you are going to use this product to control a light bar then do your research first. The light bar portion of this controller does not have a lot of current switching and handling capacity. If its going to be used for...

JustaBuff - thanks for the tip - thats exactly whay I have had to do. I was wondering if you folks have any special tools that help you out with this unusual problem. I use a putty knife and some very wide bladed screw drivers to pry the glue strips off of the roof but I have short arms so this issu...

I have seen a similar issue such as this before. It was found that the front and rear heads were reversed. Yes - one head was specific to being the front mounted head the other was specific to be mounted in the rear of the vehicle. This mostly involves some of the various control head functions but ...

Sounds like possibly a timing issue. Where/who did you aquire this quantar from? Quantars can be configured to use an external clock source(gps, rubidium, etc.) and sync the internal clock with the external. If the RSS parameter is still setup for an external clock source you may need to change it t...

Sorry - forgot to mention stripper. I never use one. Just use a sharp knife and cut the outer jacket about an inch from the end of the cable. Then cut a line from the first cut to the end of the cable and split the jacket and pull it off. This method works for just about any type of cable except har...

There are plenty of them on ebay. Before I new about ebay quite some time ago I purchased the RF Industries Model RFA 4005-020 and the associated dies for most crimp sizes needed. I paid more than $50 back then for the tool and the several dies I purchased but now on ebay you could probably get the ...

For these double walled headlamp fixtures I first use a 1.5 or 2 inch hole saw and of course cut the hole in an area that is the most flat(if you can find one). Then cut the 1 inch hole in the inner wall. I find that using a very sparse application of silicone lube around the strobe bulb rubber base...

MCS2000 Model 1 900Mhz Problem
OK folks - here is my scenario. I have 2 M01WGL4PW4AN radios. I am using RSS 5.05.00 and can read one with no problem. The other one I get "code plug too new" error message. I am almost sure this one that I cannot read was programmed with CPS software. I tried cloning and limited clone wit...

I have been installing motorola radios in crown vics for quite awhile now. Alot have come in with bucket seats and they always get a console(Troy) in between the seats. The ones that come with bench seats get a radio mounted on the hump. The seat goes all the way back and an angle bracket gets mount...

MCS2000 CPS
1. Has anyone done the band limit changes on the MCS CPS yet? I have two MCS2000 Model 1 900Mhz radios but I only have CPS R01.12.00 and would like to use these to build a repeater. I have looked through the files in the CPS app and cant find the band limits any where. 2. Can you actually do the cha...
