Yes, the "two way"switch is also known as the concentric switch which is under the channel selector knob as mentioned by N4KVE above. I haven't had the MTSX RSS software opened in a few months, but if I recall correctly, the PL/DPL tone boxes are just to the righthand side of the frequency...

I don't think Motorola ever released a PDF version of the MT2000 users manual, at least I've never been able to locate one. The paper/hardcopy users manual is still available from MOL, or a Motorola dealer, and lists for $22.31 plus any tax or postage that may apply.

Well, MTSX R06.00.00 will be fine as long as the radio hasn't already been programmed with MTSX R06.07.00 or R06.08.00. R06.00.00 is old and MTSX R06.07.00 has been out for about 8 or 9 years already, so there's a good possibility that a later software revision may have already been used to program ...

All genuine OEM Motorola antennas I've ever seen for the high tier radios have "Motorola" VHF/UHF/800/900 molded into the lower end of the rubberized covering of the antenna. Even antennas for the lower tier stuff usually has the "/\/\" emblem embedded in the rubber. I've NEVER s...

Are you sure you didn't inadvertantly select "RX Only" for those two channels you tried to re-program? If you do that you can only program a receive freq and the "TX Freq" field will be greyed out in the RSS, thus you're unable to write a TX frequency for that channel. The radio ...

R06.00.00 is pretty old. Your MTS2000 VHF has probably been programmed with much newer software than that since it's got V6.8 firmware.
Only options are to have it programmed at a Motorola dealer or buy new s/w version.
