Any on here know if there is a way to completely or close to completely lower the Ext. Radio & PA Functions.
It seems that the Volume for the EXT. Radio just doesn't go low enough for the officers comfort.

Using V9 Firmware & R09.00.01 CPS

You adjust the outside volume via the volume control on the radio or the volume control on the siren you are using for rebroadcast. Why in the world are you using 9.0?
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

Unless I completely missed it, R09.xx is current.. Is there a newer version for APX that you're aware of?

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

I must have been asleep when I posted that, because for some reason I thought he was referring to a xtl, not an apx, I do think 9.02 is out, I'd have to check MOL, but I am sure that you are more right than me.... thanks for the heads up.

Been there done that... I too have been "Asleep at the keyboard" SG...

As for the Issue With APX we used to be able to completely lower the PA & Radio Re-Broadcast on the Ol' Astro Spectra's & XTL's (W9 Heads).

But with the APX7500, even if I set the Preset PA Volume to 0 (Zero) (O5 or O9 Head) it is still too loud (Even if we manually lower both PA & RRB to 0 when active), just seeing if anyone else has seen this.

Using FW11, if I lower the vol to 1, seems ok. You also have to remember for intelligible audio with such siren speakers and all that electrical jazz, there needs to be a minimum audio output to not have the audio get distorted. Digital audio sounds worse than analog in my case, but when at "1", it works nicely.
