Creating Conventional Zones for XPR 7550 and 5550

Post by WCHija »

I have programmed multiple zones in both models of radio and assigned a few channels to each zone, and assigned buttons for zone selection but the radios see the channels as one long list not separate zones, even though CPS shows them in multiple zones.

What am I doing wrong?

Trbo cps logic is a bit weird. We have a whole Trbo group that lives, eats, and breathes Trbo. I don't get to touch them very often at all. But, I've had to muddle through them for a couple customers. You have to define zones, and then put channels in the zones. And you may have to define a zone button too.

Did you change FPP from user to disabled?

Ill try disabling the FPP. I did not think those two things would be connected, thank you.

No I think it's the other way around

FPP disabled puts everything in 1 zone

FPP as user makes it work like you'd expect

I think

Please don't quote me on it

No luck, I changed the FPP from Dealer to User, made sure there is a password in the box, and made sure I have a Zone button.

This fixed it.

"On the buttons tab, try changing the Numeric Keypad selection from channels in all zones to channel in home zone"

Thank you Jeff!

Like I said, you have to muddle.
