I am curious with a VHF-HI Alert Monitor, what the lowest tuneable frequency is? I believe that the specs say 148MHz as the low end, but has anyone crystalled/taken them below this frequency? They are currently crystalled/tuned to 154MHz area.

Thanks very much for your help!

Hi,
If you are talking about the M03CNB-1100 unit, it's spec low end is 150.8 MHz. You can probably go a little lower, but I doubt it will do 2 meters. You might be able to experiment with changing out a lot of capacitors and coils but it wouldn't be worth it on that old a receiver - too many coils and caps.

You could of course just buy a crystal from International Crystal in OKC, and just spend a couple of hours tuning and playing with it to see if it might do what you want.
