Barcode on back of saber?

Post by JOHN 1807 »

Actually, I don't know if it's on astro sabers only- but what exactly is the long, skinny barcode on the back of the radio in between the two info stickers?

what's it's purpose?

Generally it's the units serial number, IIRC. I think the idea was that people who were doing inventory control, etc of radios, or who were logging actions performed on radios (programming, repair, etc) could just scan the barcode without having to manually key the information in.
