IWCE Attendees - New Motorola PM1500 Details?

On MOL today they listed a literature order form for the new Motorola PM1500 mobiles. Anyone in Las Vegas able to provide some details of this mobile. The bad low rez pic looked like a remote mount with a non-standard type head.

Anyone have some details?

Nothing fancy really, P25 (conventional only) capable professional series radio. Best "feature" is 110watts, and it looks like its designed for small PS agencies. Standard external speaker is so-so.

33-60MHZ model coming later,so a IWCE attendee tells me.A few added features over Mara Trac.Nothing appears mindblowing though.8 character display,255 channels,emergency alert and a few others.Rural lowband FD will be glad to see it available.

Shouldn't be a surprise, as it's the "sister" radio to the conventional-only PR1500 (HT1000 replacement). They announced the PR1500 can also be upgraded for P25 operation, although that has been talked about on here for quite some time.

I didn't miss it, I just took it as you expect Motorola to misinform people, not that you realized it was the PR1500 mobile counter-part.

All the data I've seen on these indicate that there is no lowband model. Do you have any data?

Lets hope that the people who set these up are very well aware of the QoS requirements of these.

Nothing yet,but Moto Channel Group says it is a reality.
Nothing "official" on paper or newsletter yet.
