Anyone know if the reciever is powered up with this"programming without a control head" cable?

Yes, the receiver IS powered up using the following "Programming without a control head".

Pin 17 is power ground
Pin 13 is on control, ground turns on the radio
Pin 4 is A+ for the receiver and exciter
Pin 19 is A+ for the transmitter PA

The receiver is working in this configuration but there is no Volume control.
Pin 3 & 5 are the speaker
Pin 1 is volume control High
Pin 15 is volume pot wiper
Pin 2 is volume control ground

There will be low level audio on the Programming/Mic jack, just like the Maxtrac. My test cable has a telephone receiver to monitor the audio.

I also need Mic Hi and PTT......I dont have a book,and am working on a project.

Ok'y dokey..

Mic high is pin 14, use a coupling capacitor, + to pin 14. Mic line has 9 volts bias and is about 600 ohms impeadance.

MIC LOW is pin 2

PTT\ is pin 12
