Help : MOCOM 70 LIGHTBULB

Post by radioman202 »

Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the 2 lightbulbs used for tx and rx in the mocom70 base.
Or where i could find some that would fit with the right voltage.

pretty sure it's a #53 lamp

Oops, just noticed you wanted the "Base" lamp. I think it was a #756 in the consolette. I'll check the book in work tomorrow if I can find one.

Yes it IS a #756, 14 volt bulb. Also check the consolette power supply voltage they creep up when they 'age'. Anything over 13.8 is too high....

My two bits worth:
The last time I serviced one of these I used a "Super bright" green LED with a limiting resistor. Just wire it to the socket.
Took less time than locating a replacement light bulb.

The original lamps do not last very long.
Many of the current replacement lamps are of very poor quality.
