Problem with ARGUS Power Suplly!

Post by asdfg »

Hi, on one location is a MTR with ARGUS Power Supply. Instead of 220V, often is a low voltage 150V or 120V, and ARGUS is fail, it shows that battery is fail and ARGUS is not providing supply for load (MTR). Now is 220V, but ARGUS is still fail on same way, do you know what is wrong with ARGUS, and where to find schematic for ARGUS, and is low voltage on location can be a reason for fail of ARGUS and maybe fail of MTR200?
Thanx!

What radios do you own?: Astro Specta, MT1500, HT1550LS

The Argus supply is not designed to power the radio full time in case this is what your doing. It is there to charge the batteries and provide the revert to standby power when needed. If the radio has been powered long term from the Argus then it could be damaged.

If the batteries are bad the Argus can also fail due to low voltage.

I have the schematic at work and will look for it.
Winegard Interference

Updated to working link! Still hearing these all over the place.
