What are the changes/additions with this upgrade. We are upgrading an XTS 5000/XTL fleet from R4.80.00 to R11.00.03, just wanting to know what to expect.
...And that's how radios work

Well besides a slew of fixes to bugs and options added along the way from R04.xx.xx, R11 itself adds:

Portable-

• POP25 option for XTS 1500
• Intra-WACN Roaming support
• Remote Monitor for XTS/MT 1500
• 200 Scan lists expansion
• Configurable Minimum and Maximum Volume levels
• DTMF Mic
• One Touch on XTS 2500
• Radio remembers last channel per zone

Mobile-

• POP25 option for XTL 1500
• Intra-WACN Roaming support
• Remote Monitor for XTL 1500
• 200 Scan lists expansion
• Configurable Minimum and Maximum Volume levels
• DTMF Mic
• Auto Power Off
• Power Off Time Delay

Some other options that you'll pick up that were added before R11 are QCII encode/decode, DTMF encode/decode, your MDC will probably also function alot better, updated support and menu for IMPRES batteries on Mod 2 & 3 radios, and more... Read the radios after the upgrade, you'll see all the added menus and features that they will have compared to what R04.xx.x had...

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.
