Programming call (emergency) button on PR860

Post by overhere »

All,

I'm trying to program my PR860's (very similar to HT750) so that when you press the orange call button on top, it transmits some kind of alarm or beep (similar to the call button on FRS radios). The obvious way to do this seems to be to send a DTMF tone, but I haven't figured out a simple way of doing this. Does anyone have a clue how to do this? So far I've just managed to transmit MDC "emergency" signals, and/or made the unit itself beep loudly!

Thanks

David

The PR860 isn't setup to do that as a button press of any sort. Strictly as a 'pre' or 'post' PTT ID.
