battery backup for mtr 2000
need battery backup for mtr 2000 repeater. is their a cheaper alternative than argus

Our shop always had problems with the MTR Locking up using the internal power supply and the Argus system, We have been using an external 24 volt power supply and running the MTR through the DC input, then you can have battery backup attached to the external power supply. Since we have done that we have had 0 lockups, and we have about 40 MTR's inservice. Also offers a little bit of backup if something happens to the external power supply, you can just pull the dc connector off the back of the mtr and plug the a/c cord back into the MTR and away you go.

I forgot to mention its 24 volts if its a 100 watt MTR
