Astro Spectra remote mount?

Astro Spectra remote mount?

I have an Astro Spectra mid-power (45-50w) dash-mount VHF radio which I would like to convert to remote-mount. I do not note any "kit" as such from Motorola to do this.
1. Is there an aftermarket solution as there was with the Maxtracs a few years back?
2. Are there individual parts available from Motorola to do this?

Now would be the time to get to know your local friendly rebanding crew, and let them know that if they run across an 800M remote mount Spectra, you would like the head and all the accessories. Honest. Find out who is doing rebanding in your area, and get your request in before everything gets sent to a nibbler.
