Anyone tried the MTR3000 yet?

As far as I know they are not shipping yet. They look cool though.

We have one. Its like a Mtr2000 shape but the software is different for trbo. Tuning is pretty much nonexistent. You will need to get a new mic too for testing. Thanks Motorola

Looks like the MTR3000 for VHF has now been released.

RX Range: 136-174 MHz.
TX Range: 136-174 MHz

From the MTR3000 manual:

Local microphone Input. Use microphone type GMN6147 (older model) or GMMN4063. Modulation sensitivity for 60% system deviation is typically 56mVrms
[158mVpp].
Note : The Mic port is only supported in analog mode regardless of the Mic used.
For older model of microphone (GMN6147), the 3 control buttons for speaker volume control, Rx monitor and Intercom control functions are not supported.

I don't think so. The MTR2000 used a 6-pin mic (from a Mostar I believe).

This one looks like an 8-pin from the picture of it.

I use a plain old HMN1056 Maxtrac mic in MTR's.

There are some options for the MTR3000; circulator/isolator and preselector. Does anyone have any opinions about them as opposed the third products from vendors like Telewave? For that matter, where duplexers, preselectors, and isolators are concerned does anyone have any hands on experience with one vendors product working better than another?

Motorola uses quality stuff so you should be good with it.

Having said that, for anything other than a standalone unit, I usually work directly with Sinclair for an overall system design and purchase those products separately to meet the design criteria.
